With 17+ years of experience in the solar industry, we understand the landscape. In the UK, there are generally three types of solar companies:

Firstly, there are companies that exploit customers by instilling fear, offering misleading promises such as non-existent lifetime warranties, and charging exorbitant prices for basic, low-quality equipment. Essentially, these companies sell cheap products at prices triple their actual value.

Secondly, you have premium solar companies claiming to offer top-tier products but inflating prices to twice the actual cost due to extravagant marketing budgets, high sales commissions and lavish executive perks; all at the customer's expense.

Lastly, there are smaller operators, like "Gerard" and "Bill", who genuinely aim to make an honest living. Unfortunately, they often get caught in intense price wars, making their businesses financially vulnerable. As a result, the likelihood of these smaller operators surviving in the long term is low; a single job gone wrong could wipe out all their profits.

Ask yourself: Do you want to trust your investment to an installer who may not be in business in two years? Or do you want to pay triple the price for a low value system? We don't think so.

You want someone that can service your warranties. So you need the big company to do the job, you need the premium product on your roof, but you want the price to be a fair price.
